Vespa: Chase Satisfaction
Vespa has been a cultural icon since 1946 — a blend of expert engineering and effortless rebellion that made it the quintessential Italian status symbol. But in the U.S., that iconic status hasn't fully translated. The Chase Satisfaction campaign was built to change that.
The idea: borrow the visual language of high-fashion magazines like Vogue and Harper's Bazaar, and treat each Vespa not as a vehicle, but as a model — in every sense of the word. Each scooter gets the celebrity treatment, with bold lighting, striking compositions, and copy that reads less like a spec sheet that only motor enthusiasts would understand and more like a magazine profile. The tagline, "Satisfy Every Desire," ties it all together.
As copywriter, I partnered with an art director to bring this concept to life across three executions. The centerpiece is a series of double-page print spreads, each spotlighting a different Vespa model with editorial-style copy designed to give it its own personality and appeal—the same way a fashion magazine profiles a model.
To extend the campaign, we created a YouTube preroll ad that carries the same high-fashion energy into video, and a web extension hosted on Vespa's site that functions as an interactive digital showroom. There, users can scroll through each model's dedicated "profile"—complete with its own background, bio, and soundbite — and click into individual components for more detail. You can view these below.
Note: the website preview shown here reflects an early concept of the design; additional copy is provided below

Vespa 946 Horse:
Not every Vespa is born equal. The 946 Horse carries something the others don't—the restless spirit of the lunar zodiac, the intelligence and grace of the Horse rendered in leather, chrome, and steel. A celebration of those drawn to the road the way the tide is drawn to the shore. Run free.
